Bad impact of cigarettes and alcohol's related to eyes' health

Research from the National Eye Institute says that cigarettes and alcohol can erode the health of the eye.

The researchers quoted by the Times Health mentions various effects of smoking and alcohol consumption on a regular basis. Smoking is often associated with an increased incidence of cataracts, macular degeneration and optic nerve damage. This is caused from harmful substances in cigarettes that affect blood circulation around the eyes.

For alcohol, although alcohol consumption does not affect the health of your eyes, drink alcohol to excess can cause slow pupillary reaction, blurred vision or focus, double vision, and reduced ability to distinguish colors in detail.

In order to avoid damage to the eye organ, it helps you live a healthy life and also regularly check the condition of the eye.
